Meet The Doctors
Dr. Michelle Falbo, DDS
Dr. Michelle Falbo was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. Growing up, dentistry was always a part of life. Her great-grandfather started a practice in a small mining town nestled in the Minnesota Northwoods, where her family continued to practice dentistry for over a century. As a child, she spent many hours in the dental office - learning about teeth and finding her own spark for a future in dentistry. She knew she wanted to serve her community in a meaningful way, and carrying on the family legacy of dentistry was an easy choice.

Dr. Michelle attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. From there, she attended dental school at Creighton University in Nebraska, where she served as class president for four years. Upon her graduation, she was awarded the Dr. David A. Reinsch Humanitarian Scholarship Award for embodying the spirit of humanitarianism, advocacy, and community service. She was also awarded the Eleanor J. Bushee Award by the American Association of Women Dentists for academic excellence and leadership. Dr. Michelle is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is now the fourth generation of dentists to serve her community, and the first female among them to do so. Northwoods Dental pays homage to the former generations that paved the way for Dr. Michelle's passion for dentistry. Her goal is to provide the best service with the latest technology, so patients don't have stress about their dental care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Michelle and her husband Kevin love to explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest. You'll often find them hiking, running, camping, and enjoying time at the coast. When at home, you'll find them giving all the attention to their dog, Frankie, and cat, Simon.

Dr. Abigail Rapchick, DDS

Abigail Rapchick was drawn to the field of dentistry after seeing the unique way in which it combines the fields of art, science, and medicine. She enjoys being able to use her creativity and attention to detail to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. Her patients have often remarked upon her calm demeanor and gentle chair-side manner.
Beyond the technical aspects of dentistry, one of her favorite parts of being a dentist is forming lasting bonds with her patients and catching up with them year after year.
Dr. Rapchick graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and went on to pursue additional training at the University of New Mexico for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry. She worked as a dentist in Salem, Oregon for several years before moving to Portland and is thrilled to be a part of this friendly and vibrant city!
Dr. Rapchick is from the Finger Lakes region of New York State. Growing up on a farm, she spent much of her time outside riding horses, doing chores, working in the gardens, and running free. The outdoors is still an important part of her life and she currently enjoys activities such as rowing, rock climbing, hiking, and camping. She also values time spent cooking and reading with her two cats and is always looking for book recommendations!
